The Triumphant Return of Kim Petras: Problématique Album Drops

Bunheads, get ready to be blown away because Kim Petras is back with a bang! After the success of her major label debut album, “Feed the Beast,” she surprised everyone with the release of her “lost” album, Problématique.
Kim took to her social media accounts on September 18 to reveal the album cover, which was shot by the iconic fashion photographer Steven Klein (fancy, right?). Alongside the stunning photo, she wrote, “Problématique. Out now.”
The story behind Problématique is quite interesting. Originally, it was supposed to be released after Kim’s sex-positive EP, Slut Pop. However, it got delayed and eventually leaked online in 2022. But here’s the twist – Kim actually encouraged her fans to listen to the unreleased tracks in a series of now-deleted tweets. She wrote, “I’m not getting to put out any music anyways, I’m fucked. I’m devastated idk how all of this happened and I just wanna quit” (talk about a rollercoaster of emotions).
When she found out about the leak, Kim admitted it was shocking and heartbreaking. She had poured so much of herself into the album. But at the same time, she was excited to see her fans embracing the leaked tracks and loving them. Talk about a silver lining!
Now, let’s dive into the amazing tracks. While her stand-alone single, “Future Starts Now,” was initially planned as the lead single for Problématique, it didn’t make it to the final tracklist. But fear not, Kim’s got some fantastic baguettes (both the bread 🥖 and the diamonds 💎) in true fashion. Think tracks inspired by Kylie Minogue and even a highly anticipated collaboration with Paris Hilton called “All She Wants.” Exciting stuff, right?

And that’s not all! Brace yourselves for another exciting collab. Kim has something cooking with the City Girls. In an interview at the 2023 VMAs, Yung Miami spilled the beans about a new single featuring Kim coming our way. And guess what? Kim confirmed it with a repost on her Twitter account. It’s safe to say that the anticipation is real!
Before the surprise drop and her much-awaited “Feed the Beast” world tour, Kim treated us to some spectacular live performances. She uploaded Symphonic Sessions on her official YouTube channel, including captivating renditions of “Alone,” “Claws,” and “Minute.” Talk about musical perfection!
Oh, and speaking of the “Feed the Beast” world tour, if you haven’t snagged your tickets yet, you better hurry. Head over to TicketMaster now and secure your spot for the most epic party of the year!
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to groove to Problématique while pretending I’m partying it up in Paris with the one and only Kim Petras. Bisous!
