Carey and Marcus Were Childhood Pen Pals I mean…did I not say this was a cute story? According to a source who chatted with The Sun in an article iconically called “Mumford Is Mr. Write for Carey,” “Carey and Marcus began sending each other letters through their churches when they were kids. After becoming friends again, things got more serious earlier this year and romance blossomed.”

Jake Gyllenhaal Third-Wheeled Their First Date Here’s the story: Carey and Jake went to a secret Mumford & Sons show in Nashville and ended up hanging out with the band—which is how Carey and Marcus reconnected post pen-pal-ship. “At the end of the night, there were just the musicians, Jake, Carey, and the Mumford boys,” a source told Us Weekly. “We had some pizza and just played music. Jake picked up a guitar and Carey joined in on ‘Amazing Grace.’ Marcus and Carey seemed really friendly.” Five months later? They were engaged.

Marcus and Carey Are Super Private The couple lives on a farm in Devon, England, and they try to keep their relationship pretty low-key. As Carey told Vogue in 2015, “Like anyone, you try and split your time evenly. Marcus is the only thing that’s mine that I can keep away, so I try to.”
Meanwhile, Sienna Miller was more than happy to open up about their ’ship, saying (per Billboard), “They both come from very solid families and have a real sense of the life they want to live. Their normalcy. They have chickens and a dog and roasts and friends, jams by campfires. It’s sort of idyllic. Marcus can headline Glastonbury and Carey can be nominated for however many Oscars, and then they come back to their farm and they’re in big woolly jumpers and funny hats, raising piglets.”

They Share Three Children And they welcomed one super recently! Yep, according to People, the actor, who recently spoke with Vogue for the publication’s November 2023 cover story confirmed that she had welcomed another baby with her musician husband.
In the article, Maya Singer, the interviewer, noted that Carey was six weeks postpartum at the time of their meeting, and even added that the actor entered the “London coffee shop” where they were meeting “with a bemused gesture at the yellow diaper-leak stain streaked across her blouse.”
Carrying the bb, the actor then said to her newborn, “I’m going to change you, and then we’re going to find Mum another shirt.” BRB, trying to get my baby fever under control immediately. 😭❤️
Btw, the celeb couple is already parents to daughter Evelyn Grace, 7, and son Wilfred, 5, who, again, have perfect names lol. No deets on what their third child’s name is, though, but we’ll keep ya in the loop as soon as we hear any intel!

God, they looked so cute together:
