To be honest, I’ve always been on the fence about the whole no-pants fashion trend. It never fails to give off a vibe of “I just forgot to put on pants”. But then, the queen herself, Rihanna, steps out in tights as pants and suddenly my perspective shifts. You know that meme, right? “It’s ugly until Rihanna wears it.” Well, it’s like that.
On October 3, Rihanna and her partner A$AP Rocky celebrated his 34th birthday at Carbone in New York City (where else?), and RiRi decided to bring Black Swan chic to a whole new level: Fenty edition. She rocked a stunning balletcore ensemble, featuring a black tulle dress with a corseted bodice and an asymmetrical skirt so short, it could easily pass as a blouse. But instead of opting for the predictable pants, she boldly chose to wear opaque black tights and matched them with pointed toe pumps. She added a touch of edge with a cropped silk bomber jacket, oversized hoop earrings, a chic updo, and square-framed sunglasses.

Now, let’s give credit where credit is due. A$AP Rocky didn’t disappoint either with his birthday outfit. He went for a playful professorial look, layering a classic checked blazer over a cozy gray pullover sweater.
