Excited for Monarch Legacy of Monsters
Godzilla and the Monsterverse: A Roaring Good Time!

Godzilla fans, hold on to your seats because this year is serving up a monster feast! Not only do we have the highly-anticipated Japanese live-action film, “Godzilla: Minus One” premiering in December, but AppleTV+ is also bringing us an entire Godzilla series titled “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters”. It’s like a buffet for all the kaiju enthusiasts out there!
But wait, there’s more! This series is set in the expanding Monsterverse, which means we’ll get to see not only the king of all monsters, Godzilla himself, but also his iconic rivals like King Kong, Rodan, and Ghidorah from the epic “Godzilla vs. Kong” showdown in 2021. It’s a battle royale of colossal proportions!
In the teaser trailer released by Apple, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” promises to be a roaring good time. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy watching giant monsters duking it out? It’s the ultimate escapism! And let’s not forget the fantastic casting choice they made. The series features the legendary Kurt Russell and his real-life son, Wyatt, both bringing their talent to the screen. Wyatt Russell will even play a younger version of his father’s character, Army officer Lee Shaw. Talk about some serious family business!
Prepare to be transported through time, with the series set across multiple time periods and featuring multiple monsters. While the siblings at the center of the story follow in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch, we get to witness epic battles between these colossal creatures. Hold on tight, folks, because Godzilla is back, and he’s as angry as ever! Cities, beware!
But guess what? The excitement doesn’t stop there. The first two episodes of “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” will premiere on AppleTV+ on November 17, with a total of 10 episodes to look forward to. And just when you thought you couldn’t handle any more monster madness, Warner Bros. plans to immediately follow-up the series with a film titled “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” next April. We are about to be absolutely flooded with Godzilla content, and let me tell you, as a die-hard fan, I couldn’t be any happier!
